On my knees with a bib and a lobster fork....

So, this is how our Valentine's Day turned out....
It was Saturday morning and a HOLIDAY...I was going to start us off with some waffles....
Then I quickly realized that I was out of mix, no problem, I whipped out my handy dandy Betty Crocker Cookbook and set out to do it by scratch....BIG MISTAKE...now I am a good cook and I can even make bad recipes good sometimes, but this one tasted like FLOUR! and is was SOOOO runny...
Not to mention, one of our *$%#&* exchange students BROKE my waffle iron..."no problem, I make grilled cheese in these all the time at home" GRRRRR!!! (Apparently it didn't work so well in MY waffle iron) I have to say that I was amazed when it was put away...until I found out WHY they decided once and only once to be responsible and put it away...it was really him being UN-Responsible because he BROKE it!!! anyway...so after discoving this last week I had bought a new one and with the BAD batter in our new iron and it burned the middle and the outsides were still raw!! Needless to say breakfast wasn't working so well...
SO, Jon took us out to Denny's...YUMMY!
Then, he was going to take me to dinner, but Macey's had a sale on Lobster tail, so I went and got some Lobster tail and heart shaped tenderloin steak. SO, because we went out for Breakfast, I made dinner for him at home...This video was the first thing I thought of when I decided to attempt making Lobster....

it is a comercial for Frontier Airlines...it is my favorite one!

I had 4 tails so I tried 2 different methods...Broiled and steamed...steamed was KJ's favorite!

after our lovely dinner we went to the local rec. center and went swimming...
It was a very enjoyable day with my 3 favorite Valentines!!!! :o)

Jon's needs

1. Jon needs to stop sending drinks now. [wha? Okay, this makes little sense... but I would agree, that means I would be able to drink them. I must really love who I'm sending these to, because I'm thirsty!]

2. Jon needs to touch his roots. [Possibly true. I'm not really into genealogy. So while I may need it, I don't see it happening soon.]

3. Jon needs prayers. [True. Don't we all? I'm trying to be a better person and every prayer counts.]

4. Jon needs love. [Always true. Don't we all? Laura does a good job though.]

5. Jon needs a new shift key. [False. My shift keys work just fine, thank you]

6. Jon needs a poke in the other eye. [False. I don't even see why i need to address this.]

7. Jon needs to fire his attorney. [Possibly true. If I have an attorney, he's fired.]

8. Jon needs a job [False, I have a job, and it's currently going quite well.]

9. Jon Needs is on Facebook. [True, but irrelevant. I don't even know the guy. As for me needing facebook... psh, I don't at all. When people tell me I do, they're just being silly. I don't have time for facebook.]

10. Jon needs a hair-cut. [False. I did though, just a few days ago, and that need was met by my Honey, like most of my needs.]

Laura Needs....

My friend did this on her blog and I thought it was funny! You just google "(Your First Name) needs" and check out the first ten links that come up! It can be pretty funny and sometimes true, as you can see! Here's mine...

1 25 cents and 2 fingers is all Laura needs...(In as much as I could do a lot with these things I am not sure that it is "ALL" I need...)
2. Laura needs some post-toddler love..(I think is is definately TRUE, love from people that use complete sentences and don't whine because they don't get there way is ALWAYS a good thing!
3. Laura Needs - Chicago, IL...( TRUE: I am in fact fond of Chicago, it is a fun place, and I need a vacation, although this may not be the best time of year to go there...the whole "windy city" thing in the winter is NOT pleasant)
4. Yer mom knows what Laura needs...(I don't know about yer mom, but most of the time MY mom does! A hug and good food! :o) )
5, Together, we'll fight evil : Laura needs you continued support...(TRUE, support from friends and family is ALWAYS necessary with battling "e-vil, like the fru-its of the dev-il" - want to join my crusade?)
6. Laura Needs - LinkedIn..(TRUE, I know that this is a thing for people contacting each other in the professional world, but on a more litteral basis, I would like to be linked in with my friends and family so I don't feel so out of the loop)
7. What Laura needs to do to save at-risk kids...(I suppose this could be true, when you are in the service of you fellow being you are only in the service of you GOD...so saving at-risk kids is good, but I don't really know what I need to do to do that!)
8. Laura needs her meds changed...(I will refrane from commenting....you can be creative right?)
9. Laura NEEDS help... (AMEN! is anyone certified?)
10. Dr. Laura says we need stay at home moms...(TRUE!!!! I am lucky enough to get to be one too!)

That was funny! I should do it again sometime....

Adara at 6 Months....

So, we went to the doctor for the 6 month check up and all is well. She wieghts 16 lbs. even. and is 27 1/2 inches long. which puts her in the 50th percentile for weight and 97th for height...I think we may be in trouble in about 14 years when she is a tall skinny blonde with beautiful blue eyes...she is a doll for sure! Good thing PG continues on his trend...he is 36.5 lbs and 39 inches tall...well into the 100th percentile for both. That way when PD has suitors...she will also have a protector! :o)
Here she is....She likes to play on the floor...
but she doesn't stay on her back very long, she had found that she can get around better on her tummy...she does get up on all fours but no crawling yet...thank goodness....:o)


But she has recently discovered her toes...I love when babies do this, it is just so darn cute!


now, this is my favorite, we have stared her on solids...she CAN eat just fine, but WON'T...check out this video..she takes a bite then pretends to gag! It is funny but very frustrating because she won't eat! :o) I have tried rice, veggies and fruit...all the same...hopefully she will get it down soon!

mystery revealed...

I got the mystery bag in a few days and this is what it had....
a $5 pair of cufflinks (right there it paid for itself I guess...) We really don't have any use for them so if you need cuff links...I have some for sale for CHEAP! :o)
This is the one I am excited about. They had these on a deal a few days before and I was tempted to get some, it is a solar powered flashlight/radio/cell phone charger. It also can run on AAA batteries...
So it wasn't THAT exciting but it will be useful in an emergency....
but hey, it was worth the mystery...sometimes you just have to go for it!
