Random funniness with the boys....

So here is a look back at a few things that happened over the last several days since I last posted....
We have this exercise ball and the boys love to roll on it across the livingroom...not just the boys...pretty much most people that come to our house!
PG figured out how to open the cupboard and found the OAT! fun stuff!
He also pulled down the bean bag from off the couch and decided to sit and chill...so proud of himself! :o)
On Martin Luther king Day we went to Logan in a big storm...not the smartest thing I will grant you but we did it and we were fine...Jon only ran off the road 2ce. the first time he was able to "recover" back to the road...the second time the boys had to push him out of the ditch....it is a long story but all was well and everyone was safe. The tracks in the median from KJ were about a 1/4 mile long...if that tells you anything! :o)

Party at Eric's....

Saturday afternoon we went to Eric and Dianne's house to hang out. Our boys went with us. Eric's family was also hosting but they had 4 girls. we had a great time. Dave and Mindy came down too, to join the festivities! :o) It is fun to be with family. :o)

SR-71 Envy!

Here is our slideshow from our fun day at the Hill Air Force Base Museum!

say good bye! :o(

So I thought I would update you. Sunday morning we found PG up on the computer chair...beating the mouse. He loves that it lights up so he hits it on the desk to make it light up. He is getting so big!
Also on Sunday morning we said "bye" to our 4 boys. We have had such a great experience with the exchange students this time. It was a lot of people in our little house but they were a really good group of boys.
They were fun and sweet. We will miss them...and we hope they will keep in touch!
So long friends!!!

the ups and downs of the last few days!

SO, it has been a few days so here is the update! :0)
PG is in to EVERYTHING! Now this isn't really a surprise,
but sometimes when I find him in random places doing random things...
I must admit that I get surprised sometimes....sometimes I think,
what happened to my sweet little baby that didn't do anything wrong???
I guess when anyone has a kid starting into the "terrible twos" wonders the same thing...
the sad thing is....is he is only 13 months!
But I guess he feels that since he is the SIZE of a 2-year-old then he is entitled to act like on too! But most of the time he is still the sweet, lovable, little prince that he always has been....
and I am grateful for that! :o)

He discovered last week that there is a "secret passageway" behind the couch. It is so cute when he crawls back there. He can't get into much, ther is the cords - that he loves to unplug and try to plug back in...which isn't the safest thing but - knock on wood- nothing has happened...as yet with that. Then on the other side of the secret tunnel is his toy box, so it works out well, and he will play back there for a long time!
Here is a guilty face! this is one of those times when I wonder about that sweet boy I once had...when you walk into the kitchen to find that he has riped some of the wallpaper off the wall! And he can't escape the truth since the evidence is stuck to his foot! I guess they can't always be perfect! UGH!
Here is the group of us playing a card game. it is fun to play cards! and the boys like this game - Corsari! It is a great game if I do say so myself!
PG happened to find Franco's basketball...he was SOOOOO happy! Just a minute ago I looked over at him and he said "ah?" and signed ball! He is a ball-man!
He is also an "Ooodles of Nooodles" man! He will eat an entire "cup-o-noodles" for lunch everyday...it is soooo cute how he slurps the noodles up!
I took this this morning. He is so proud of himself! I got this booster seat but we still use the highchair, so he carries this chair around the house and sits down when he wants to rest. He loves having a chair that is just his size! (not to mention the strawberry milk that he is holding...I am not sure which he likes more!) You can see the pride simply for the fact that he actually smiled for the picture! :o)

Bowling for buzzards!

OK, so we were just bowling...but it was fun anyway! We went bowling with the boys and Tera and Isaiah. Poor was really TIRED! We got there and an hour and 1/2 later we finally were given our lanes! It was a LONG wait expecially for whoever had to chase PG at the moment! :o)

Here is Rodrigo, PG Tera and I posing for a self picture! Now, let the fun begin!

Isaiah went to try to get some food, so PG decided to bowl for him while he was gone! He bowled his first 2 gutter balls! Yeah PG!!!He was right there to give everyone "high fives" after he bowled. It was really cute. Sorry Isaiah about the 0's!
He did get better as the night went on though! The last frame I took him with me. PG in hand and the ball in the other! Notice NO pins in the background...we got a STRIKE!!!
Yeah for bowling!!!

a house full....

Last January we had the opportunity to get some exchange students from Brazil. They come here on an exchange program through a school called Internexus. The kids come for about 3 weeks. They stay with host families, like us. They take the bus to school in the morning. They have English class from 9-12 then in the afternoon the school takes them on field trips. (they go to Park City for shopping and skiing (in winter) and they go see the Jazz, Temple Square and to the movies - and lots of other fun things. - The summer group went to Moab for the weekend.) So we provide food for breakfast and lunch so they can make it themselves. Then I cook dinner and they eat with us. It is a great program for the kids, they get to learn English and have lots of fun in the process!
It is great for us to learn about other people and Brazil. :o)
We got 2 girls: Rey and Pricilla. We had a great time.
We went to Hill AFB to the plane museum. PG got to see the SR-71 for the first time...of course he doesn't really remember this time because he was about 6 weeks old.
This is Pricilla with PG
and here is Rey with PG
Here is the 2 of them on Antelope Island. It was soooo cold, but we did get to see Buffalo.
Having the girls was a good experience but t wasn't always easy, having two new people in our house from a different culture. So we really had to think about it when they called and asked if we would do it again.
We decided to do it again but this time with boys. So in July we got 2 boys (still from Brazil) Elder and Thomas. It was a hot summer so they didn't get to see snow (they love to see snow, since they usually haven't seen it before!) but we really enjoyed the time that they were here. We did a lot of fun summer things. They were here for the 4th of July, so we partied and watched fireworks.
Right after they got here we went for a little hike and picnic in Little Cottonwood Canyon. We had lunch on a big rock after crossing the scary pipe over the river.
Thomas had to write about his most memorable experience for his english class and he wrote about how scary it was crossing the pipe.
They LOVED playing with PG. and PG loved playing with them!
He even learned how to crawl while they were here.
PG on Elder's head!
PG drooling on Thomas!

After their last day of school we went to ID. We had the Pabst family reunion and they were here with us so they went. They thought it was cool because they got to go to more than one state while here. This is us putting up our tents at Grandma's house.
We had a great time with them. We hope they enjoyed their time here too.

Well, it is January again and they called us again and we said we would take 2 boys....
well we ended up with 4 instead! :o)
Franco, Gabriel, Rodrigo and Vini!
They are a great group of boys. It is crazy to have 4. The house is always hopping and we love having them.
So, stay tuned for the adventures that are sure to follow! (they have only been here since Monday.) So far PG LOVES to interact with them! which is always a good thing! So far a biggest challenge has been fitting the 4 of them with PG and I in my 5 person car! :o)

PG wanted to say Hi to you too! :o)

shovels and slush...a boys best friend!

So, we got more snow on Saturday. So we went out to shovel...well, I put my shovel down and I lost it...to the little man. He walked around pushing the slush. He did a great job...
and he was obviously sooooooo happy about it!
The shoveling was about over and we got enough of the snow out of the way that the slush started to run free...guess where PG wanted to be...
YEP, right in the middle of the slush river!
yes, if you look closely you will note that the slush run higher than his shoes!
BUT he couldn't be happier!
After we were done, he walked right inside, I have never seen him walk in of his own accord before. I guess we worked him hard enough that he too was done! :o)

I had to show this pic too, this morning was the first time he fed himself with a spoon.
he was quite content for about 20 minutes just sitting there eating off his own spoon.
how quickly he is growing up!

PG's 1st hair cut!

So, today I broke down and finally cut PG's hair. He doesn't have a lot of hair but what he had was getting LONG! So I got out the buzzers and away we went. you really can't tell that it got shorter...but I can...now when he gets up from his nap he won't have knots in the back and the sides won't hang over his ears....at least for a few days anyway...

(please ignore my appearance, the camera man did not tell me how awful I looked or I would have brushed my hair or something! UGH!)
He did really well too...he was a bit nervous about the buzzers but he let me do it.

"look, I'm a big boy!"
Here is the final product! Still the cutest little guy! :o) Good job PG!!!
