welcome to the land of the living...

First a side note:
I have been asked how to say her name: Adara
We pronounce the "ARA" like in Sara
A-dara

now that, that is out of the way....
Here are my babies! I have been a bit out of it recently....for some odd reason! But here are a few snap shots from the last little while.

Here is PG and PD (I changed it from PA...since that is a state! Instead of Princess Adara, it is Princess Dara) they are so cute. It is always so weird to change her diaper then his...their bums are different sizes. It is fun to have a little one again though!

When PD is sleeping I try to play with PG, so he feels less neglected. We played trains the other day, it was so much fun. CHOO CHOO!!!!!
KJ's sister had a baby a week before us, here are the 2 together.
Isn't it nice of her big brother to share his car with her! He was SOOOO happy!
This is his favorite thing in the world...to hold the baby. He tries to pick her up - which I DISCOURAGE STRONGLY - but if he sits down I will hand her over...He likes to say he wants to hold her then as soon as he gets her he says "all done" then gets into whatever it is that she was in...aka: here baby bathtub, the bouncy seat, or the swing...I don't mind him being in them...except for the swing!

PD was being so cute when she was sleeping. I love when babies make faces and little squeeky noises! She is so cute!

13 August 2008

the last few days.....

When we were released from the hospital on Saturday, we went to Grandma and Papa's to pick up PG....He was having fun playing around. He had a great time with Grandma and Papa while we were in the hospital. They took him to Promontory Point and he got to ride in a railway car. And on Saturday they took him to Antelope Island and he got to play int he dirt. He had tons of fun. I am glad that he wasn't too much of a hassle for them! :o)
Playing chase with Papa...

Here is PG playing with Daddy...just like his Daddy did with him when he was young.
He found the bouncy seat to be very comfy! Hopefully it will hold up well over the next several months! :o) and beyond....
Here we are ready for church!
She still wasn't sure about the whole thing!

She is even sweet with a scrunchy face...gotta love gas!
PG thought she would like to talk on the phone! I think she is a bit young to start that though! Here is big brother...playing with the bubbles coming out of her mouth...He wasn't so sure about this whole thing at first, he wouldn't even talk to me on Sunday...but he is adjusting and I make sure to take some time out for him a little every day. I think it will get easier when she is a bit older too, but in the mean time he is fairing pretty well!!!
This is just a cute shot that we got from a friend of Jon's that we went to visit while he was in town on Thursday night. He isn't smiling or anything but he just is so darn cute! :o)

Just a quick post...

Here are few pages that I put together. I don't have time to write a whole lot...my bed is calling my name! But I hope you enjoy these pics until I get around to saying more!

Yeah for Adara!!!

This morning at about 8:45 we started to be induced....Fortunately she was already on her way by then...we were only on Pitocin for about 1 1/2 hours to get contractions regular then they shut it off and sent us walking...we walked for a while then came back and I just wanted a nap....that of course didn't happen, despite my efforts! and at 1:18 pm (MST) Adara Rose Pabst entered the world and took her first breath! She is 9 lbs. 5 oz.
20 1/2 inches long
(same weight as Garen, only an inch shorter)

But her she is bright eyed and bushy tailed! I think she got the "Hook mouth" but looks a bit different than PG
She is like PG in that when she is cold or gets pricked or something she is very unhappy
but once she is wrapped back up...she is JUST fine!
Here is Daddy proud as can be of his new little girl!
She has a full head of BLONDE hair with blonde eyelashes and eyebrows to match!
She is very sweet and we are happy that she made it! She did great, and mom did too! :o)
Now it is time to master feeding! :o)

40 and 1/2 weeks....

I'm telling you, there is NOTHING like being 10 months pregnant! :o) I am not there yet but will be soon....especially at the rate we are going......
This is what I feel like!!!!

and this is what I look like! If only you could see inside somedays...you would see that the pictures are identical! :o)
Here's hoping for relief tomorrow!

The marathon Post!!!!

Yesterday we were playing outside and here a few pictures from that! :o)

KJ decided to lay back and relax...so PG had to follow suit!

I love his little arm under daddy's head! It is so precious!

they are cute together! :o)

and here are the fruits of my gardening attempts for the year...we actually had flowers that turned to tomatoes...I can't wait til they are big and ripe! YUMMY!!! I love fresh tomatoes!

Dinosaur Museum at Thanksgiving point...

Yesterday Manda invited PG and I to go with her and her kids to the Dino park at Thanksgiving Point. Every year they get free passes from John's work so we were able to get in for free!! YES! (Thanks Manda -and John-)this is where they can watch people actually digging out fossils...it was a great place to climb.

I only took my little camera in so the pictures that I got aren't that great...but here are the 3 boys hiding in the cave!...OK so PG isn't hiding very well.
They had this HUGE erosion water/sand table! PG wasn't very fond of the lecture but did OK, he like playing in the clean water when it was time to wash his hands though! :o)
Really all PG and Ransom wanted to do was this...yep the favored past time was pushing the stroller around and seeing which one got it first! There were a bunch of other cute pictures taken but they are on Manda's camera....so maybe when I get them from her, I will share, but by then they may be old news and you won't car any more...we shall see! :o)

the aquarium...

On Saturday we decided to go out on a family outing, so we headed to the living planet aquarium in Sandy...it was really small but it was fun anyway!

This is a moon jelly! isn't it cool!
PG checkin' out the octupus
The touch pool was kinda cool cuz you could touch sting rays, but it was a BIT deep for PG's arm, so KJ got to instead...I was a bit disappointed that they didn't have starfish and urchins to touch..

this was a little tank at eye level and PG through the glass...not a great pic but it is through a fish tank...he really loved watching the fish!Afterward we went out to eat. When we were pulling out we ran over a pop can and it sprayed the car next to us...and a little on our car too...it was sooooo funny! We felt bad for their sticky car but what do you do?

Our little man...

This is our goofy little guy...silly and tries so hard to be a little helper!

this is the silly...I wonder where he gets it from?????
this is the helper...he is helping me sew a blanket for his new cousin...
This is how it turned out...I think it is cute!

once again...he is the silly....
this is what happens when daddy pulls his shirt down and says "no more"!!!

updates...

A little while ago, (I think it was the 24th of July) Uncle Jason stayed at our house. PG decided that his shoes looked like just the thing to try...
he walked to the kitchen and put them in the back of his car. He decided he really liked them

Daddy taught him how to drink from the hose...it is funny! He ends up really soaked!

And my car finally died...and since it is OLD and not really worth putting a ton of money into just so we can get more of a family car....so we just went with putting money into a family car. Here she is....
This is PG on the way home from picking it up...I think he likes it!
It did have a few problems that needed fixed before we could get it inspected...and pass, so KJ and my Dad and our little helper man fixed it all up and now it is great. We still have to fix the A/C but that will come.
