Did you vote????

The results are in.... Here are a few pictures. I know they are hard to see but they really are what they say they are. It looks better on the video. Having said that, I doubt you really want to sit through the 15 minute silent movie of my placenta! :o)
But in case you did want to see it, here is the placenta!
for this one I will take their word for it! :o) Here are the little piggies! If you look really close you can see the flat part of the feet and some little round spots for toes...look at those big feet!

Here is the face! on the left is the arm with the hand curled under the chin. then there is the mouth, lips are parted. and right below the arrow is the nose! Such a pretty baby already!
on the right is the head with the spine curving so nicely to the left...oh so sweet!!!
Now this is the results! You will have to stretch you imagination a bit to see it but here it is!
In the big black middle section on the left there is a whitish part that is the bum and on the right on that same whitish part is her other bum! (the other white spots in the black middle are her feet)
IT"S A GIRL!
So it looks like 66% of you were right! Good Job!!!
We are planning on naming her Adara Rose Pabst!
Isn't she so BEAUTIFUL!!

The PG update!

PG is still up to his same old tricks but he is so cute about them all that I keep sharing them!
He is getting so grown up these days. He loves to do what the big kids do! (Why shouldn't he...he is the same size!) I am so proud of him for how much he has grown and developed in the last month or so. He has about 10 spoken words, about 25 signs and is working on about 5 more signs. He is getting really good at communication. I just wish he would listen a little better when I say "don't do that!". Anyway, here he is!!!our little boy in a box! He loves to climb into things...fortunately this one was easy to get out of!
He watched his older cousin climb up a banister at Grandma's house last week, he figured out how do it at home...I pray that he never ends up as a heap at the bottom of the steps!
PEEK-A-BOO!!!
He love to here you say BOO! so he uses the blinds to hide behind. During the day he likes to sit behind the blinds and play with his cars/trucks...it is closer to outside I think!
He found a pair of goggles yesterday, so I helped him put them on, he had a hard time seeing clearly but he was so happy! Look at that face!
Here is the Sudoku master! He loves pens, pencils, markers...anything that writes! The trick is getting him to use them on PAPER ONLY!
He is doing well and we are adjusting to our new place, I think we are about as settled as we will get! (as far as unpacking boxes!) Our new ward is not standard for UT but we like it so far. I am sure the Lord will make use of us! I look forward to making friends!
Well, that is our life, until next time.....

freedom!

My parents took PG and I out to Farmington Bay to see the Bald Eagles. (they are in this part of the state for part of the winter...mainly February) We happened to get there 2 days late. The hundreds of eagles that had been there left because of the warm spell we had. But we did get to see a few stragglers. Here are a few pics that I got of them perched and beautiful! I think there is a good reason why they are the national symbol for Freedom. They are so graceful and strong! I am proud to be an American! :o) God Bless America!

Sorry they are so hard to see but there was a big bog between me and it so I really couldn't get any closer than my 12 optical zoom could get me! :o)

Bouncing baby boy...

I was away last evening, So Manda watched PG until KJ got off work then he went and picked him up. Luckily for KJ Manda fed him! Thanks Manda!!! And while at her house KJ found a new game to play using PG! All the kids thought it was really funny. I must admit that it is funny too. :o) Don't try this at home...unless you have a really SOFT couch...aka, don't try this at MY home! :o)

moved....

SORRY!!!
It has been FOREVER since I posted but life has been a little hectic recently!
WE MOVED!!
The job search out of state proved to be a bust thus far, and in state as well for that matter. So we found a new place to rent here in Bountiful. It is a nice condo type place. 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a HUGE kitchen (which I am very pleased about) and a Big living room...until we turned part of the living room downstairs into PG's room and the 2nd bedroom upstairs became the livingroom. Anyway, I thought I would share a few pictures of PG helping move!
Once the kitchen cupboards were cleaned out, he thought he would take advantage of the "chair" that was just his size!Shredded paper is so much fun to "help" with!
He had to do a thorough going over in the bathroom, after I was done!
I know this comes apart some how....Papa had to fix a broken hose on the carpet cleaner, he had help!
Papa was so patient with the help too! :o)
Don't forget ME! Just helping Daddy and Uncle Isaiah pack the truck!
This was his favorite...KJ was taking the crib down to be put on the truck, and he took the screws out and one fell on the floor. PG picked it up (as fast as he could, as not to miss his opportunity to get his hands on something) and promptly put the screw in a hole and picked up the screw driver and started twisting it. He is a smart kid that is for sure! He like to do what the big kids are doing! His Daddy is SO proud of him! I must say I am too!! :o)
All in all he has done MARVELOUSLY with the move. The first few nights we had to stay at Mom and Dad's house because we didn't have any heat. He didn't like sleeping in the play pen but now that we are in our house and he has his bed back he is sleeping well and is happy.
He LOVES to go up and down the steps all day long. It is great exercise I figure and it wears him out!
More will follow as usual! But until them, I hope you enjoy the short update! ;o)

Chicken bones!

So, last night we went to Dinner with KJ's brother and sister-in-law.
While we were there at Golden Coral, PG ate a myriad of different foods. Watermelon, manderine oranges, chicken, pot roast, beets but his favorite was the.... Chicken BONE!
I figure he takes after my mother! :o)
I remember as a child, her chewing on the chicken bones eating all the grizzle and everything...she claims it is the best part! :o) Well, I myself will take her word for it, but PG seems to agree!
He chewed on that chicken bone for about 10 minutes, then he started on another one. It was very funny. There you have it...the Hook genes win out in small things! :o) We love you MOM!!!

To PA and Beyond!

PG and I went to PA this past weekend, we went to see Ethan's new baby Mark be blessed. We flew from here to Denver then to Caton, OH then drove to Butler, PA.
Here is Great Grandma lovin' in baby Mark, she kissed him and he smiled
it was very sweet.
PG's turn.
We stayed with Donna. It took PG a few days to adjust but he managed ok. He liked to play with Kira, who is 8 days younger than him. (and 4 inches shorter!) (not that that is a huge surprise!)
The kids introduced Papa to U-Tube and Jeff Dunham with Achmed!
it is pretty funny!

When I was a teenager I was a nanny for Donna for about 2 years. One year at Valentine's time I was sad that I didn't have a Valentine. So I asked Ethan if he would be my valentine. (He was 12) We decided that we would always be one another's valentine - no matter how old we got and if we were married and had kids etc...well, since that year, all of Donna's kids have joined in the fun. so, for the last 12 years I have at least 5 (now 7) Valentine's - In addition to My Sweetheart! Anyway, while I was in PA, We did Valentine's Day early with the kids.

All the time Jon was home by his onesies....but We have a Valentine tradition too...When we were dating I did the 14 Days of Valentine's Day. He gets to open 1 present everyday of Feb. until Valentine's. So even though he was by himself, PG and I left him a present a day while we were gone! It helped...I think!

It took PG a few days to settle being "on the road" but by the end he was playing and having a great time!
GRR! Playing with Uncle Jody!
I told you he was comfortable and having a great time!
Even being helpful!!
While we were there Ben turned 4! happy birthday Benjamin!

We tried to come home Monday night but the airport was too foggy for the airplane to land, so our homecoming was postponed...
PG got to play with his friend a little longer.
Sara has a little girl that is the same age as PG. They were sooo cute together!
Here is Boo giving PG lovin's,
He just laid there on the floor and enjoyed the attention.
Even when she just hugged his head. They were soooo cute!
It worked out though, coming back later, On Tuesday morning we went to Pittsburgh to see an old friend of mine. Then on our way to the airport we drove by my old house and eat ice cream from Brusters! YUMMY!
Here is a picture of the city as we headed out...I love that skyline!!!!
Here is PG in the Fort Pitt Tunnel...I think he is too young to hold his breath!
Oh well, it seems that I wasn't too old to though! :o)

While we waited for the plane PG wanted to explore Grandma's purse so he ended up with lipstick! :o)I know we don't have a lot of Granddaughters in the family but we don't need to pretend that we have more, Grandma! :o) j/k...pucker up!
So we finally made it home a day late and a few dollars poorer. But it is GREAT to be Home!! Right Jon? :o)

Last but not least...if you didn't already know...this is the future for our family.
This is what I will look like in Aug. :o)
