Discovery kids...

so, this is what we have been up to lately....
PG has discovered markers.
He actually enjoys sitting down and coloring. It is nice to have a few minutes of quiet sometimes. Sunday morning before church he realized that the markers can be stuck together...He was very proud of his marker stick! :o)
PD discovered that she is mobile. She is not doing a classic crawl but her army crawl gets her where she wants to go...She has also discovered that she can crawl UP things. She started with the "fireplace" thing. Yesterday she figured out how to stand in the tub...fun and exciting...yet scary! :o)
I love this, she has hair now, so she wakes up in the morning with bed head...this isn't the BEST picture of it, but you can see it sticking up in the front.
The other day I came back from hangin' out at Manda's and PG told me that he did not want out of the car, he wanted to "sit tight". For 15-20 minutes I would go and ask if he were ready to get out yet..."No, I sit tight"...fine, KJ even came home and tried, "no, I sit tight" so we left him all the lights in the garage went out but KJ left the dome light on for him and a little while later I went down to check on him and he was SOUND ASLEEP! Gives new meaning to "sleep tight, don't let the bed bugs bite."
He sure is cute with this necklace on! :o)

this was funny, I could hear PD playing so I peeked in to see if she was awake or just talking in her sleep (which she does often!) and all I could see was her green and orange blanket...no baby...so this is what I found

PG discovered back flips off the couch...I used to LOVE to do this when I was a kid. We were watching a movie and I looked over to find him doing this, I have never showed him this or said anything, it is fun to see him grow and develop new talents. He is fun!!!

PROOF: That these 2 CAN get along! These 2 have a "love/hate relationship"...aka they love to hate each other. When they are together they hit, fight and yell.."you stop!", "no, you stop" and on and on it goes...But this is proof that they CAN figure out how to be friends!

Another Logan Weekend...

We went to Logan again this weekend. We went up friday after KJ got home from work.
On the way up PG slept and PD ate her feet! :o) It was really cute
spent the evening with the Rollins Clan hangin' out, eating and we even got to play D&D with Messa and Mitch. KJ was very happy about that. :o)
Then Sat. we went to the Pabst's house and I decorated a cake for Derek's 3rd Birthday Party. He is really into Yoshi right now, so guess what kind of cake he got. Before we did cake we had lunch and went to the park. It was a BEAUTIFUL day and a little windy so the boys flew a kite. KJ started the flying...
PG got a turn too...Then Derek got a turn and Dave got a turn and flew it all the way to the park.
We went to Willow Park Zoo and looked at the animals. (This is PG signing turtle ...the turtle is right behind the rail...sorry!)Then we went to the park and the boys got to SWING! They was happy!
Here is the moment you have been waiting for...my latest creation! The Yoshi Cake! Here is Yoshi and his eggs...
KJ says "if only we could be like Yoshi, he eats his enemy's and poops them out as an egg then hits others with them..."
Sometimes that could be nice I suppose! :o)
and on the side is the yoshi world...I am good! :o)
Happy Birthday Derek! :o)
Here are the kids playing with one of Derek's new toys! :o)
It was a great weekend. The weather was PERFECT and now it is SNOWING again....
Spring will come! :o)

Daddy is my favorite playmate...(Don't get me wrong, mom is my favorite person
especially when Daddy and I have been playing too hard and I need some love!)
we do cool things together...they make me laugh!

Amazing, this is the first video that mommy took of daddy playing with me that didn't end in tears!
Love, PG

first five...

The first five people to leave a comment on this blog will receive something made by me. However there are some limitations:

1. I make no guarantee that you will like what I make :)
2. What I create will be just for you
3. It will be done within a year (might take a while)
4. You have no clue what it is going to be
5. I reserve the right to do something really fun.

Edit: I'm taking the "catch" out of it. Only post again if you want to :)
There is a catch. If you choose to do this, you must post this on your blog and be ready to make something for five people too. This will be fun! When you receive the fabulous item I make you, you must post a picture of it on your blog.

random shots....

I think my couch is a little lumpy....
I don't know what happened, it is isn't as compfy to sit on anymore. :o)
oh, maybe that is why...2 boys that are "hiding"!
Now PG wants to "hide" all the time...my cushions are NEVER on the couch anymore...
so my couch really is lumpy!
now he is learning to build a "house"...he loves it,
so I just can't help but giggle at his obvious delight!

I found this the other day too....he wanted to "watch a movie...a ai-pane movie"
Totally engrossed! He is too cute!

PD at 7 months!

Another episode in the wonderful world of a cutest little girl....

When she is on her back her feet are forever in the air...she loves to grab them....it is hard to keep socks on her now.
She can pretty much get where she wants to go by either rolling or getting up on all fours and digging her toes into the carpet and lunging forward...
She loves going after paper...gotta love that stage...we frequently have to de-paper her mouth...
But....
She is a HAPPY girl!
And so very beautiful!
She loves her daddy but still mainly has eyes for PG!
She is finally getting better at eating
mainly her hands! :o)
She is a precious gift for our family! :o) We love you Dara!

CT...

we went to CT to visit with Dan's Family. His oldest son Riley got baptized. So the kids and I went out to be with them. It was a great trip. I had my taste of being a "single mom" with 2 kids on a airplane. Usually when I fly Mama and Papa are with me, but it was more economic to go my own way this time. So we did. I was able to maneuver 3 bags, 1 stroller, 2 carseats and 2 kids on my own through the security...on the plane, for a short stop in Cincinnati (we didn't have to change planes seats. but we were fortunate to get a row to our selves so PD could have a seat too.) Then we made our way to bagage claim and then to the rent-a-car bus. Once we had our car we were on our way...then we had to go back and find a place for PG to run around until Meema and Papa's flight got in. They got in and we were off to Naugatuck.
PD was an immediate "hit" with the little girls and even Jake was known to want his turn to hold and feed the baby! :o) It was really cute.
The next day Dan had to move the airplane (the G-3 that he flies for some rich guy!) from Oxford to New Haven for his day trip to florida the next day, so PG, PD and I got to take the shore but very cool 7 minute flight with Dan. (I got 10 minutes, since we had to circle before we could land) Then back to the house to hangout some more.
Sat. Donna, Sara, Kira and Ari came. Mom got a perm I got a hair cut and at this point there were 8 children staying at Dan's house. 6 of which were 3 and under. :o) Then Donna, Sara and Ari got to go to New Haven and come back on the plane to Oxford. :o)
Sunday was the big day for Riley. He did so good. :o) I am very happy for him and the choice he made to follow Heavenly Father and become a member of the Church. Congrats little Man!
After dinner Mom and Papa and I went back to Hartford and stayed in a hotel because there was a BIG storm coming. After lots of waiting for us we made it home. I am SOOOO GRATEFUL for the nice people that we met on the last plane that were willing to haul my sleeping children and my stuff off the airplane until I could get them situated with the stroller and Jon. They were so nice and helpful. (way more helpful than anyone from the airline! - to them I just had a loud little boy when she was trying to take a nap! ugh!!!) Thank you for all of your help.
It was a great trip but I am glad to be home! :o)

Draper Temple Open House....

We got to go to the Open House for the Draper, UT temple. It is really pretty. PG's favorite part was the font! I think he likes that there was a big tub in the temple. I told him one day that we were going to go to the temple and get to walk inside. And for days until we got to go, he kept saying "Go bye-bye, go in temple" it was really cute.
PD's favorite part as far as I could tell was the Chandelier in the Celestial Room. At least that is what she stared at the most!PG got to sit in back of the van with Papa and he even got to sport the Russian hat!
Here we are after the tour and the cookies!
I love the temple. I am glad that we got to go through, and even though the kids won't remember it, I know they were able to feel the spirit. That is the most important thing.
I love my family a TON and I am glad that we have temples so I can be with them FOREVER!!!

what would a trip to Draper be without a little IKEA time? I don't know, nor do I care to find out! :o)

Catch up!

I thought I would post a few of the pics that I have been meaning to post for a long time....

Apparently PG is not the only little one at our house that likes the cozy coupe! PD LOVES when I set her in there, she turns the wheel like she is driving and she on occasion will push the car backwards when she puts her feet on the ground and kicks off. :o) then she falls through the bottom under the steering wheel, she doesn't like that part much!He had to get in on the action too...she doesn't mind sharing!
Here he is wearing or trying to wear PD's hat...I think there is a slight size issue!
Our little BOZO the clown! He found my fire shoes and was walking around in them, they really do look like clown shoes...and his expression just completes it! He is a clown! :o)
KJ's Mom decided to simplify their lives and moved to a smaller house, in which the piano didn't fit, so I became the proud new owner of a piano!
Here is PG playing "hot dog D on a bun"

PD turned 6 Months and is just as cute as ever!!! Rolling around, laughing when tickled, eyes for her brother, teething, and eating her feet. She is getting better at eating but doesn't care for babyfood as much as things that she can pick up and feed herself...unfortunately she is limited in that area because she hasn't gotten any teeth yet!(but is for sure working on them...)
My very talented flying family!! Hee Hee!!!
They are just tooooo cute!
Manda's friend invited us to go to Chuck-E-Cheeses with her boys ...the boys LOVED it..tokens and tickets and trucks that moved...they were in HEAVEN!
