day 3..

THis was the first site we came to ...
PG was SOOOO excited to see bubbling water and mud pots and geysers....
I don't think this one had a name. it just had a pull out so we stopped.

our first family photo at Yellowstone! :o)
a little bubbly stream!
walking around
After hours of driving, the kids get a little slap happy!!!

Gibbon Falls
Beryl Spring
The kids were happy to get out and run. So Daddy was happy to chase them!

Artist Paintpots....
this is what happens to wildlife when they see humans ALL the time....
this is the look of the artist paint pots from the top. I know the pictures never do them justice...I forgot my filter...grr...but all is well..it still is beautiful
this is a mud pot that was at the top of the trail.
I love the colors and smoke and cool things you don't get to see everyday...I guess unless you lived here...
Rainbow!!!

Mammoth Hot Springs
When we entered the park we found out that a road from west yellowstone (where we stayed) to Mammoth was going to be closed the next day so we decided to go that way first....
this is what all of Mammoth used to look like before an earthquake moved the water somewhere else and mammoth is now dead!

Now it is all white and gray
I love this part it looks like scary ghost faces.
it says DO NOT touch silly boy!
it started to rain, and PD was NOT very happy about being in the backpack in the rain. She started to get cold and a little hungry!
This is next to Mammoth and this is where the Hot spring moved. it is SO pretty!

Our Vacation to Yellowstone Day 1 and 2..

Day 1 and 2 I am going to put together because they kind of ran together and I don't have pics of 1. So here we go...on vacation!

On Friday after work we left for Logan....well actually Clarkston, for the Martin Harris Pageant. It was nice. The cool thing is that PG got to shake hands with Elder L. Tom Perry of the quorm of the 12. After Elder Perry walked away, PG looked at me and said "he got his keys from Nephi"
I am not sure what he meant or where he would have gotten that from, but it is interesting to see how he is putting the gospel together in his little mind.
After the pageant we went back to Joy's and spent the night.
Day 2 after breakfast we headed out on our next adventure. - Rexburg, ID -
We drove to Rexburg and went to "BEAR WORLD"
It has a little safari drive through thing that you can see...
Buffalo
Bears
Elk, albino and normal
Bears

mountain goatswan
and moose!

they also had a petting zoo....PD found a feather...yummy.
PG was brave and pet the mommy goatKJ tried to help PD be brave, but she didn't really like the idea of touching that furry thing...
They also had a LITTLE amusement park!
We had fun even though it was small, it was GREAT for the kids!
Here is the train too!

and the bumpy car ride.
can't have a tourist trap without the stick your head in the hole board!

or your bum...KJ was going for the "getting eaten" look!
Our little bear family!
After Bear World we went and checked into our hotel and checked out what rexburg had to offer....
Playing on the lawn of the temple in the rain.

Seeing the temple
and the rainbow. It was so beautiful...right over the top of walmart! Rexburg was fun. :o)

tent time...

Manda and I trade babysitting so we can go to the temple. It was their turn the other day. We had been playing outside until the rain came we should liven things up a bit inside and built a tent.
My kids had never seen this kind of thing and thought it was FABULOUS FUN!
We even put the TV down on the floor so they could watch a movie in the tent.
With popcorn drinks, a tent and a movie they were SET!
I love doing little things every once in a while that make a big difference! :o)

Happy Birthday Princess...

My Baby Turned 1!! It was a great.
Thanks to EVERYONE that came to celebrate with us. It was a GREAT party.
She was happy to have Balloons!
Happy Birthday to you
Happy Birthday to you
Happy Birthday to Dear Adara
Happy Birthday to you
This is what happens when you put out the candle with your finger! It was sad!
She calmed down and was able to enjoy her cake and icecream!
She didn't get really messy, but enough. She was happy!
She got some great presents ... this is her enjoying her monkey, it has hair on it that I would tickle her with she LOVES it! Now everytime she sees a monkey she scrunches up her nose in preparation to be tickled!!!

New Truck

One our way home from somewhere one saturday we passed by a garage sale in our neighborhood and I saw a 2 seater car. I wasn't sure what it was like since we were just driving by. So I but the kids down for naps and sent KJ back to check it out...
This is what he found. It is a little fisher price motorized car. We got it for $15!!!
When he got it it had a padlock on gear shift and it only went in reverse. so KJ took it all apart, and drilled out the padlock, and got it fixed and put back together. and it works GREAT!

PG is SO in love with the "new car"...hey, it goes by itself! Now he just needs to learn to steer! We had the neighbors come and swim on a hot day.

they play for a while in the cold pool they they moved on...to the "new car" Maddie drove it around and around and around for about 30-45 minutes! Until it finally died and I had to charge it again! They were HAPPY! I love when hours of entertainement comes for the bargain price of $15!!!!

Children's museum

Manda had some coupons to get into the children's museum so she braved downtown and we went together. It was a fun time...it was a place that children could run around and play and not worry too much about them getting into something that they shouldn't be in....it worked out great!
They had a big thing that had tons of tubes everywhere and the kids could put the balls in a mirad of different holes and watch them roll around. It was great. I was amazed the whole time how everything kept their attention and they had SOOOO much fun.
pone part was set up like a town and it had a construction site, a house, a gas station and the mail system, the water works, and a farm that they could "plant" and "harvest" plants and take them to the market then they could shop. At the gas station they had a jeep that they could "drive" - big surprise PG was in HEAVEN!
Here is Manda and Tahlia chillin on the front porch of the house...
They had a little place for 3and under PD and Tahlia we SOOO happy about the see-saw!
one the farm they had a horse you could sit on too...The the best part was the helicopter that they had up stairs that they could sit in...Once again, HEAVEN for little boys!
Manda was a smarty and packed a little lunch for us to eat. It was YUMMY!!! :o)
all together it was a GREAT day! Thanks Manda! :o)

Pabst Reunion

We went to the West Valley Pool for the Pabst Reunion this year. It was GREAT fun as usual!
We got to play in Water so the kids were quite happy!
Logan and PD "swimming"
"Look what I found!"
they even had a water slide. look at KJ go!
After we went to our anut and uncle's house and KJ and PG got to ride on this cool truck! :o)
