Day at the park

we went to the park over by the Oquirrh Mt. Temple and it was HOT! But we had a good time. here is PG in the spinny thing...they thought it was a little freaky!

See, she didn't care for it much!
But just sitting around and checking stuff out was great.
I snapped a few really cute ones of PG. He sure is adorable!
I love my babies! :o)

11 months...

so our baby is 11 months old now...
she is getting SO big. It happens to everyone I suppose...she is also getting cuter and cuter, if that is possible! :o)look at the goofy grin!

She is so big sitting on the stool.
As for updates...she LOVES the bath, and apparently the pool - truly a water baby! She laughs, jabbers and sings. She has 5 words now, Mama, Dada, No, Yep, and UH-OH! Make that 6 she waves and says "hi" it is adorable. She can sign all done and some times more. We are working on please and thank you and mom/dad. She now can go down the stairs backwards instead of head first. She still LOVES to play with PG and do whatever he is doing. She love big people food, unfortunately she still has NO teeth. which make meal time more creative for me. She LOVES fruit and some veggies and bread. She is a JOY! We LOVE her!!

Here she is walking!

Water Baby!!!

We went up to Logan, to show the exchange students more stuff. We were going to go to bear lake but decided instead to just go to the aquatic center. they have a few slides, a huge kiddie pool area and then some diving boards and another huge pool.
Here we are enjoying lunch after a few hours of water fun....
PG was actually enjoying himself instead of freaking out about being in water...there is hope for him yet...he just doesn't like his head to get wet. :o)
My 2 water babies!
PD was SOOOOO happy to be in the water. She wanted to be held because she didn't want to stay under but she didn't want to be held, she just wanted to swim...she was ON THE GO!
Even if the floatie she would kick around and just float and move around in the pool. :o)

this vid is a little rough but I was trying to hold her up and also get her doing what she was doin in the pool! She didn't even care when she went under, most of the time it was on purpose!
We had a fun day with Dave and Mindy and the exchange students.
I love summer fun! :o)

day 5- down on the farm

Saturday, the 4th was our last day and we headed back to ...go to bed. Before we had to go to the airport we hung out at Donna's and the kids got to run around on the farm and see all that it had to offer. We checked out the cows and chickens and kitten and cats...we ate shamrocks and raspberries and currents, the blueberries weren't ripe yet...we took a boat ride on the pond and relaxed in the grass. It was great. Then it was time to say goodbye and head for the plane. We of course had to stop at broosters and get some ice cream on our way....YUMMY!
We got to our plane and there was a delay (because someone puked on the plane and they had to clean it before we could leave) so we BARELY made our connection in Detroit but we made it! Seeing KJ run down the corridor with adara sleeping IN her carseat was funny, especially when he found a wheelchair and used that to push her...it was great. We made it home, started laundry and got the kids to bed on time and went grocery shopping and turned it. Kind of a non-festive 4th but we were home safe and we were TIRED!

day 4...the wedding marathon!

today was wedding day. Off to the temple and then pictures then a rush back to PA so I could make the cake. It turned out very pretty. I love making cakes, it is a fun creative outlet for me. I can't do a lot of artistic things but I can do cool things with cake! :o) it was a good day and it ended with the arrington's leaving for Pittsburgh in a limo. :o) Congrats you guys! I hope that you will always rely on each other and become the best couple you can be! Good Luck with the future. We love you both!!! :o)

day 3...

was pretty low key. Because I was sick the previous day so I asked for a blessing before I went to bed and one of the things I was told was to try to keep the kids on schedule. So, instead of running around everywhere we stayed in hotel more and that led to SWIMMING! Dave and Mindy went to the temple in the morning, and we went in the afternoon with Aubie for her endowment. Then after the temple we had a big family dinner. It was great to hang out with the family and get to know Patrick's family. Family is AWESOME! The kids LOVED the balloon Man..Garen was SOOO happy! It was a good, low key family filled day!

Day 2....

on the second day of vacation, my true love gave to me....
a long car ride to DC....
I don't think that works, but you know your laughing!
Really the second day we drove to DC, had a few stops on the way Walmart & Breezewood. Yummy food and icecream! Once we finally got there we checked into the hotel and headed for the metro!
After the metro ride we found ourselves on "the Mall". We saw the sights and some took longer to get to due to detours but we made it in the RAIN! and we finally got to a place to get some dinner around 10pm, saw the Lincoln Memorial and booked it back to the Metro.
Once we got back....we CRASHED! I was SO sick too...that was kind of stinky! But all is well. :oP

day 1...

so we took a little trip back east....
we went to PA and DC for vacation/see my niece Aubie get married.
Day 1. Which technically was really 2 days that ran together and there were points that I though would never end! We started our at 11pm monday night when we went the airport and flew to JFK (New York), red eyes are not fun, and with kids they are less fun! :o) But overall it was a good safe flight. After a layover there we flew to our destination...PITTSBURGH! :o)
Got our car, and headed downtown. Manda and Tahlia were on the flight with us but they went strait to donna's. Dave and Mindy (and children) were touring with us. We drove through the Ft. Pitt Tunnels and checked out the city. we ate at Permanti Bro. for TASTY sandwiches...where the slaw and french fries are on the sandwich! :O)
We stopped by and visited with one of my favorite people in all of Pittsburgh. :o) We love you Janet. Thanks for letting us hang out for a little while and for being patient with the children! :o)
After that we headed "up mt. washington" and rode the encline down and up! It was cool. Then back to Donna's. The guys took the kids and all the women went to a relief society dutch oven thing.
Then a little sociallizing and off to BED...it felt good to SLEEP! (in a bed!!) Thanks Ethan and Margaret for letting us stay there. It was GREAT!!! :o)

another catch up....

This is all of the pictures that I should have posted before we went on vacation but didn't. There is some from when Manda and her family were staying at our house for 3 weeks in between houses. It was great to have them here. The kids, especially PG, loved having playmates. Somedays they would play for hours and you would never hear from them, and other days they would fight, but that is the nature of the kids. We miss them, but are happy they were able to move into their house and start to get settled. :o)
