Some friends of ours gave me a piece of glass, so I decided to etch it. This isn't a very good picture of it but PG was helping me use the camera...and he wanted to hold the glass... so it isn't professional quality but there it is. I thought it came out cute. I was just proud of my cool thing so I thought I would share! Hope you enjoy it too! :o)
(I do have it rotated on my computer but for some reason blogger is downloading it this way...

Roasted Marshmallows and other funny things...
On Monday night we decided to have a little BBQ because we wanted to roast marshmallows. So we did hamburgers for dinner and Marshmallows for dessert. I like mine more on the crispy side...now this may be due to the fact that when I was younger and would roast marshmallows I would always catch them on fire so I had to eat them that way. In any case, sometimes I like to burn them just to eat them with charcoal. :) Well, KJ decided he wanted to burn one....
Now, those that burn marshmallows know that once they catch on fire you quickly blow it out...not KJ...yes the black thing on the end of the "stick" is a burned marshmallow, not a piece of charcoal from the grill...
MMMMM...tasty!
I am not sure what this was about, but I came up from downstairs and KJ was half asleep under a basket...we really are a weird family!!!!
It has been cooler the last several days so I have put a fan in the window. Well, we had told PG not to touch it...like that works with toddlers....and he walked over and sat down by it...and stuck his finger in it...needless to say it startled him pretty good! and it took days for him to even walk close to it. But when it is OFF, that is a different story. I just thought this was cute, he knocked it over and was trying to scootch it like a truck, because of course he calls it a truck...big surprise! Anyway, hopefully he learned his lesson not to stick his finger in it when it is ON. :o)

Meuller Park
On sunday afternoons we usually go and bug Grandma and Papa Hook (really it is just a ploy to eat popcorn and drink pop) but they don't seem to mind. Sadly, for us, they were out of town this weekend for their Great-Granddaughter's baby blessing. Knowing that, it is only a little sad for us...they were in a better place for a better reason than to fill my need to eat popcorn on Sunday night...not to mention I could make popcorn at home...but it tastes SOOOO much better when made in the "Popcorn Pan"!! (anyone who has had popcorn made in the popcorn pan will agree.)
OK, so that was a really long rambling on why we were sorta bored this afternoon. So we decide to Take a little drive and enjoy the fresh air, and to try to wear PG out so he will sleep better! :o) And with it being Sunday we are limited in out activity choices... So this is what we did!
I asked KJ to get some shorts for PG....I don't think a Mother would dress their child like this! KJ didn't seem to think there was a problem! YIKES! :o)
I got some matching shorts and KJ had to use the bathroom before we left, this was PG talking to Daddy through the crack of the door...it was funny!
Since we were driving past the cemetary anyway, we thought we would stop and say hello to KJ's brothers. Here is the current temporary marker for Phillip.
I had to take this, it was a peek at a really sweet moment with his brother's.
Then we headed up to a little place just above the Bountiful Temple called Meuller Park. We went for a "walk" (I wouldn't call it a hike, it sounded too hard! So it was just a "Walk") Here are the boys...walking along! It is nice when PG has a monkey on his back! He did so good, we walk (Slowly - at PG's pace - with stops for photo ops and passing dogs) for about 45 minutes up switch backs. It was very pleasant to be outside in the fresh air and hang out with the green!
We crossed a cute little creek and decided to take a family pic.
and PG had to take some time to make a splash or two! (Splashing in puddles is I fear all my fault...I LOVE to splash in puddles and I showed him how. I don't mind as long as he is not going somewhere where he is supposed to look nice...and not all wet and muddy)
It is so peaceful to be in nature and feel small and happy. There is a calm that comes from walking in nature. I need to do it more often! It has a tendency to make me slow down and enjoy what God has given to me! I have a great family (my little family and my big one) and I love them so much. I am so grateful to my Heavenly Father for EVERYTHING especially for His love and the love of my Savior. I love the Gospel and I am so grateful for the peace that it brings to me. Even if I can't go out doors to "think" I can always go to God in Prayer. There is great peace in that too! Thanks for everything!

Memorial day
For Memorial Day we went out to 'Manda's for a picnic...unfortunately it wasn't much of picnic weather. So we had a nice family gathering inside and between rain bursts the kids would go out and play. It was a very fun day. Thanks 'Manda for hostessing! We love you!

John manned the BBQ, unfortunately he got a bit close when trying to light it...

notice the crispy hair!
Then if that wasn't bad enough...it started POURING down rain...he was a good sport though, and the food was TASTY, TASTY!!!!

Uncle Dave came to hang with us for the day, which we always enjoy. The kids especially enjoyed the attention. It also kept them occupied and "out of trouble" since they had to stay inside so much.
Ashton and Ransom took pony rides...
but it is only fair if Dave gets his turn too!!!! :o)
PG would play with the group for a little while then wander off on his own to enjoy a few other pleasures...like riding the fire truck.

and swinging in the baby swing? OK, so this was not an "acceptable" activity being that he is 10 lbs. too big for it! But you have to get a picture sometimes, even if it is a naughty thing to do. We had quite the trick keeping him out of it after that. He and Ransom thought is was GREAT fun!
It was a great day and wonderful to spend time with family. We love you all!! INCLUDING all the family that wasn't there!!!

Catch up!
Sorry it has been so long....I posted a bunch right in a row...then the famine!
It is because I misplaced my camera...then when I found the camera, the memory card was not in it, so then I had to locate the memory with all the pictures! I was successful this afternoon in locating the missing card, so hopefully we can get back on track!
This is going to be a random post of funny things that have gone on in the last little bit...
I decided the other day to get out my tatting stuff and make some flowers to put on cute clippies for Adara and Tahlia...and whoever else I come in contact with that has a cute girl with hair! :o) So, PG was taking lessons on how to tat! He was trying very hard....it was sweet.
Our computer was having some malfunctions the other day much to our dismay. So, KJ had to open him up and check it out to see what was going on. And what is a cool project without extra hands? (It wouldn't be much of a project at all! - at least according to PG!) Here is PG "helping" take the side off...
and here is PG "helping" blow out all the cobwebs!
Daddy was very good to let me "help"
This was just a really cute shot I got through the blinds. It was just so cute with his binki and "George" It was getting to be naptime! I love that time because he lays around a bit more and will cuddle with Mama! (that is my favorite!) I love my little boy!

Airplanes Freak!
The first video is of me at open cockpit day at some museum in CA, I can't remember what AFB it was but for $5 I got to sit in the SR-71 Blackbird. It was one of the coolest days of my life!!
the second one is a video that I shot from the end of the runway in Pittsburgh. I used to go out there and watch planes for hours and I loved every minute of it....come to think of it, I opened my mission call at the end of the runway! It is a good place.

Garen Claus...
This was SOOOO funny. Last night we were at Grandma and Papa Hook's house eating popcorn and hanging out. We were in the basement - it was cooler down there. PG goes over to the fireplace, and realizes that the door open. He stood up, peeked over the chair and yelled "BY-BYEEE!!!" So I gave my standard reply, "Bye-Bye, Have fun and be good" (he says bye-bye to me a lot!) and he ducted behind the chair...into the fireplace! It was WAY too cute and funny not to take a picture....and boy was he mad when I took him out! He liked his new house! I am such a Meany Mommy!!!
