An Evening of Murder and Intrigue

(Thanks Manda!!) I was waiting for her post so I could share the picture. Saturday night we dressed up and had dinner...a murder had taken place on the yacht...who did it? We spent the night trying to figure it out.... this is an activity that Manda hosts every New Years-ish. It is a great tradition. :o)

Let me just tell you that KJ isn't as innocent as he looks! :o)

Hardware Ranch

Yesterday, Manda's family, Mom and Papa, PG and I drove up to Logan where we met with Joy's family and went to Hardware Ranch. Hardware Ranch is an Elk reserve. They give "sleigh rides" out around the field where hundreds of Elk are just standing there feeding and fighting. It was really cool to be like 10-20 feet away from hundreds of wild animals. The major downfall to yesterday was the outside temperature. We stood in line for the sleigh ride for probably an 1 1/2 hours...and it was about 6 degrees. The little kids were really cold! Poor was sooo cold when we finally got back to the car and he started to warm he just cried and cried! Fortunately he was able to calm after a little while and just go to sleep.

This is us on the "sleigh ride" - I put that in quotes because it wasn't really a sleigh. It was a big trailer on wheels pulled by 2 Clydesdale horses. It was fun, but by this point PG had had enough...he was COLD and TIRED! I am not sure which one he was more of! :o)
Here are a few pics of the Elk...what would an entry about an Elk reserve be without pictures of them? I just don't know! :o)

Enjoy...until next time!

Christmas Fun!

When PG got up KJ took him in to get his stocking...He got distracted by my fruit. Every year I get a pineapple in my stocking from Santa. This year I got a pomegranate too.

PG thought they looked like a tasty snack! :o)

Then he was finally ready to get his stocking! He got bath toys and cars and stuff for his emergency backpack. He was happy...at least with his cars!
Then we had breakfast...PG was hungry...then we opened presents. This was the 1st time that he opened a present (essentially) by himself. He got a big Tonka truck. He LOVES it! He runs it all through the house and is just as happy as can be!!! :o)
Jon got some games and a few movies, I got a bunch of stuff...including "TICKLE ME" an old Elvis movie that I love!! KJ found it!! :o) Yah!!! :o)
Later we went to Grandma and Papa's and had a great time! Merry Christmas one and all!!!

Christmas Eve Festivities!

On Christmas Eve after dinner the kids dressed up and acted out the nativity while John read Luke 2. It was sweet!

Here is Mary and Joseph riding the donkey on the way to Bethlehem...

Here is the family after Jesus was born and wrapped in the manger...
The shepherds were supposed to be in the fields.... riding a donkey???? Heehee! (isn't he cute!!)
One shepherd escaped early and made his way to Bethlehem to see the baby!
Here is the group...The real wise guy, Joseph, Mary, Angel, and little shepherds...and you can't forget the reason they congregated to the manger...The baby Jesus! It was a great play! Well done guys!! :o)
Then we opened presents...PG got a phone that makes noise
and a truck....he got lots of things that he loves but I limited it for you! :o) Thanks everyone!!!
We love you! Merry Christmas!!

A Miracle and Peace if Mind for $5!!!

So, this past weekend we went to Fruitland, ID to visit Daddy. We had a lovely visit...as you will see from the pictures that are to follow.
I gave PG a christmas tree cake...he really enjoyed it as we traveled down the road to ID...I thought it was cute how the chocolate was stuck to the tip of his nose. :o)
So, we got to Logan and Dave and Mindy got things together and we headed out on our long trip. We got past Tremonton (about 40 minutes into the trip) and Dave pulled over because his car was sounding funny. He looked around and all seemed well with the tires so we continued on. A few miles later he pulled over again....we looked around and he narrowed it down to a bad CV joint. But it wasn't just making a funny noise anymore...the car was actually jerking to the Right every so often. I little scary and a lot un-nerving! There is not much you can do on the side of the road in the middle of nowhere in the freezing cold...but PRAY! and that is just what we did. I prayed mainly for 2 things: a miracle that the car would work and get us to ID and back home again. and second, that Dave would have peace of mind. He asked me to drive his car to see if I could figure out what was going on. So, I jumped in and it was pretty crazy. A mile or 2 later we got off in Snowville (the last exit for a LONG time) and pulled into the Flying J. we stood there and discussed the possibilities...then Dave said, maybe if I get some WD-40 and spray it in the CV then it will clean out all the gunk and then it won't stick and pull to the right. (in our heads we said...I am not sure how WD-40 is going to work but hey this was his peace of mind and our miracle we were working for, so if that was his inspiration...by all means!) So, he spent $5 on a can of WD-40, sprayed the CV down really well and drove around the parking lot...the noise was a lot softer and no pulling... Dave had peace of mind and we were on our way. We drove all the way there and back with no more problems. He just sprayed it down everytime we stopped...we got our miracle and Dave got his peace of mind for $5 - in the contents of a can of WD-40! The Lord is amazing!!! I am so grateful for random inspiration and a Heavenly Father that cares enough about us that he gave us a miracle! :o) THANK YOU!
PG got to play with his Aunt and his uncle...they were teaching him the concept of rolling the ball....
you have to let go of the ball for it to roll! He is getting better about it.
He even got to play phone with Grandma! He likes phones now!
He also played with Derek...they played the piano and danced together!
We got about 2" of snow so we took advantage of it at about 9pm saturday night...it was FUN!
It has been YEARS since I went sledding...it is fun!
KJ decided to not use the sled...it was more fun to use his back!
We had a great time! Thanks for letting us come and visit!
We love you!

Happy Anniversary!

Yesterday was our 3rd anniversary! I know, 3 doesn't seem like a lot but it is a good start on the way to 100! You have to have your 3rd. sometime! :o) and yesterday was ours. KJ was a real sweetheart and surprised me with roses and a chocolate orange. He said he was going to buy only 3 roses but the single ones didn't smell so he had to go with the dozen...aren't they beautiful?

I am very blessed to have not 1 but 2 wonderful men in my life that love and care for me. I thank the Lord everyday for my husband and all the blessings that we enjoy together! I think we make a good team...
I LOVE YOU KING JON!
You will always be a MY King!!!
We didn't go do anything yet, but we will go out to dinner and a play tomorrow night.

BIG BLUE!!!!

First....Here is a picture of PG with a tin pan hat. it was really funny. He is cute regardless of what he is wearing! :o)

I love the look "What you talkin' bout Willis?"
The things we do to our children...all in the name of entertainment and a good picture! :O)
Last but not least....this past weekend we went to Logan to see Heather graduate. For some silly reason I was all emotional. The bag pipes started to play and my eyes started to water! I am such a weenie! But it was a nice ceremony, we got to yell and have a good time. After the ceremony we went to a little luncheon thing for the graduates and their families put on by the alumni association. and Big Blue was there....I have to confess, I have always wanted to meet BB and get my picture taken with him...this was the day! (remembering back I think I got a picture with him one other time but didn't really get to meet him, I was with like 20 people!) Later, we got these license plates that say USU Alumni on them and Melissa and David-Scott got them Autographed by BB! I am now the proud owner of a autographed USU license plate! It was a lot of fun. We had a good weekend hangin' out with Joy and the fam. also Dave and Mindy!
CONGRATULATIONS HEATHER!!! We are so proud of you! We LOVE you!!!

OOOHHHH!!!!

This is PG's new face. He walks around saying "OOOHHH" with this cute little face! Now, I want you to know how hard it was to get him to keep doing this face when he saw the camera...silly thing...he kept smiling instead! :o)

Another thing that he recently started doing is "washing" things. He gets a rag and wipes things down and says "wush, wush" Here he is cleaning up his carrots after dinner last night...what a big helper!

YAY! He cleaned it....well part of it! :o)
After FHE PG went to bed (he has an ear infection so he was kind of cranky) so KJ and I had to make the candy house without him. I has a big sled in the front yard now but here it is mostly done. It was fun.

Our Christmas tree!

Here is our adventure in Christmas tree for this year....

PG was helping put the tree in the stand.
We got the lights on!
It is tradition for me to lay under the Christmas tree every year, after the lights are on. It is really pretty, if you have never done it, it is cool! PG had a hard time laying still but he like to pet the tree!
This is it, after the lights were on and we were ready to put it up on the table. So pretty!
The next morning when KJ was leaving for work, I noticed the shadow of the angle on the ceiling. I thought it was beautiful!

Merry Christmas Everyone!

Random pics from the last week!

So, I have taken some random pictures over the last week and just wanted to share. Here are a few new things that PG is doing since he turned 1...

We got a little bit of snow so PG wanted to test it out...he decided to eat the sand in the sand pile...

He decided that he didn't like his hands cold....Bad Mom, needs to buy gloves for the poor little guy!
Then on Saturday we got a big snow....

I made PJ's for PG, I also made PJ pants for me and I have the fleece to make KJ a pair too. I am sure pics. will follow. I think for KJ's I will have to pay attention to the pattern and make sure that I get his duckies right side up. (yikes)
This is PG looking at one of his new favorite books...Who loves baby? It is a book that has pictures of family members that love him...Papa, Dada, Mama...
Where is PG? Our little mountain man...climbing to the top of the world...
or at least to whatever it is he wants to reach!

After Activity days, PG found the cup that had the leftover blue paint...it looked like a tasty drink!
Sometimes he like to eat his bink instead of sucking on it!
Cutie Garen the Reindeer!
He likes to play with kitchen utensils! Baker in the making!
Temple square from the conf. center after the 1st pres. Christmas Devotional! So pretty!
