"Ender" has arrived...

So the new laptop came the other day....KJ is SOOOOO excited. Just to be a goofy wife, I sent him on a scavenger hunt when he got home from work to find all the parts. I am a brat! (but I have never denied this fact!) anyway, he says he enjoyed the hunt....here are the pics of PG and KJ finding clues and "parts"...it was short but fun. :o) Manda is the one that gave me the idea to make him hunt for the Ender, she said I should hide things under the mounting pile of dishes that he hadn't done, and under the laundry that needed folded...but I decided, as much as I may have wanted to, it was better not to! It all worked out this way. :o)

"Garen is my favorite toy" and the power cord was in PG's toy box.
"SUN + ROOM+BED" the install CD's and booklets were in this box that I put on the bed in the sun room.
"CD's = install, listen, entertain" I found that he doesn't know where I keep the CD collection. heehee!!
GOOD JOB!
I don't remember the last clue but it was about sleep. And there under our pillows was "Ender", the new laptop. Notice PG was put down and Ender was picked up! (I just have to tease KJ about things like that!) PG didn't seem to mind....
in a heartbeat he was up and standing at the window, longing for the great outdoors! Well, that is all for now. Until next time, Love ME!

Garen at 9 months!

Time sure does fly. PG turned 9 months yesterday! YEAH!! He is definitely our little man. He has 4 teeth now (the front 2 on top and bottom). He loves to eat whatever we are eating and is now "refusing" to be spoon fed. He purses his lips and shakes his head "no", then quickly picks up whatever finger food is on his tray and shoves it in his mouth! He is mr. independent now and eating is a "do it himself project". He is now signing a few things. He does MORE, ALL DONE, and I LOVE YOU! I hope you enjoy the slide show of pictures that I took this morning for his 9 mo. birthday.

Today I get to start piano lessons too. I am very excited. So, this is the keyboard that we got last night so I can practice! I have always wanted to take piano but have never made time and money for it. A week or 2 ago, Jon's mom offered to teach me so that someday I can teach PG, and all of my other children. It is exciting to learn new things and feel like I am bettering myself, not just as a Mom. :o)

God is a God of miracles.....

....sometimes you just have to wake up to see them! And that is exactly what we did last night. Jon and I got up at 3:30 a.m. to watch the total eclipse of the moon. It started at 2:51 but it was to be complete by 3:52 then stay complete for an hour and a half, then start showing the other side. So, we decided to get up right before it was to complete and watch for a bit, get some pics and go back to bed, that way if it were too cloudy then we could go back to bed and catch it on the flip side. It all worked out, and it was REALLY cool.

it is funny with my camera, because the shutter was open longer to get more light, (i was hoping for a good picture) it let in so much light that you can see more of the moon in the picture than you could actually see. It was bringing the light through the shadow. which I thought was funny because the defeats the purpose of the eclipse. :o)

This one is just a regular picture with no special aperture or shutter speed setting, and this is what we really saw.
this one was cool too, I adjusted the shutter speed so it allowed some light but not too much. it was cool. It was SOOO worth getting up in the night for. It also gave Jon a chance to check on his package. So, he had a hard time getting back to sleep because of the anticipation of getting his laptop today. Well, it just came to the house, so now he just has to make it through the day so he can come home and "play"! I won't see the whites of his eyes for several days now. :o)
Until next time! Later,

The wedding quilt!

Mom is getting quicker in her "maturity"! I have been married less than 3 years and yesterday she brought me my finished quilt. Ok, so she brought US , OUR new quilt. Anyway, isn't it beautiful!!!It's a fancy log cabin pattern done in our favorite colors, atleast our favorite colors for decorating. I love it, it looks sooooo cool! She worked so hard, cutting and sewing and quilting. Thanks Mom! It truly is amazing that you care so much about us that you are willing to put so much effort into giving us such a wonderful gift! A gift of heart!

YOU are the true masterpiece. This quilt just displays it! I love you MOM!!!! Love ME

"Little" update...

The other day we got in the car to go to Grandma's house and sadly enough, it wouldn't start. All the power was still working, i.e, the lights, radio, annoying seat beat dinging...which let me to the conclusion that the battery was fine and the starter went bad. Well Papa came over to help me, and sure enough a new starter did the trick. :o) Towards the end PG woke up and came out to "help". The best help was that he just laid back and drank his milk with no complaints while he watched grandpa. I love how he puts his feet up and lounges in the stroller when he is drinking. :o)
So, we got it fixed and it is running great now! Thank Papa! You are the BEST!!!!!!!!!!
The other day Garen started clapping. He is sooo cute. He shakes his head "no' and claps his hands. he is very funny. He doesn't really say "no" he just likes to shake his head.
The other day I was exercising and I was lifting my knees to my elbows off to the side. and I looked over my shoulder at him and he was standing up holding onto the rocking chair...lifting his leg. I had to giggle. I guess now is a good time to learn how to exercise. :o)

This stack of money cracks me up! How often in your life can you say that you have 550 1 dollar bills just laying around? I certainly have never had it happen before.
A friend of ours is going to Georgetown for law school. He was in need of a good, cheap laptop. So, we decided to sell him Jon's. (This way, Jon gets to upgrade for "half price") anyway, He worked for Red Lion Hotel, he drove the courtesy shuttle to the airport. so he got lots of tips. so when he paid us for the laptop, he paid us in $1.00 bills! We are still giggling over that one! This is what 550 $1 looks like all laid out on a table.
This is what is looks like to have a baby play in a pile of cash. It reminds me of Alex P. Keaton from Family ties that always had a dream of swimming in a vault of money. Now, it isn't all that exciting because they are all $1's but it is still funny! :o) Well, I should run! Until next time.....

Life is a Zoo!

We went to the zoo! It was PG's first time. (sorta. the last time I went to the zoo, I was 7.5 months pregnant. so I guess he was there but not really.) It was a lot of fun...and really HOT! PG didn't really care but it was fun anyway. I think we as parents do things "for" our kids, but really it is an excuse for us to play like we used to. Hopefully they don't mind coming along for the ride! this is KJ and PG waiting in long for the 6.8 second train ride. They look sooooo excited! :o) haha!

this is the Amur Leopard. They are very rare! He was really hot too! He kept panting really hard and was hangin' out in the shade. He really is prettyWe went to the zoo with Mom and Dad, Manda and her fam. and Dave & Mindy. This was our Daddy/Daughter pic taken in the Giraffe house! :o) Aren't we cute?
This was our family picture taken outside the Giraffe house. We like the Giraffies! PG has a stuffed giraffe called "George" that he sleeps with.
These two pics are taken of the "Ghost of the Bayou" They are not albino alligators, they are just white. There are only 10 left in the world. They don't survive very well in the wild.
They can't hide very well for some reason and they get sunburned which can kill them. I don't think the red would help them hide well either. Heehee. He was just laying there in the water sleeping away. It was pretty cool!
This picture we like to call "Feeding time at the zoo!"
Land of the free and home of the brave!

I think that face about sums it up! Life is good at the zoo! God is cool, he has created soooo many really cool animals! I hope you enjoyed our little visit to the zoo! We did. Until next time!

run-away baby!

So I haven't written for a few days. Not much to tell I guess, or I am too lazy! either way, here we are again.

And as you can tell, PG is ready to bare it all!!! I thought this was funny. I know all kids do this when they get mobile, so here is PG's debut! I was changing him this morning, you just let go for one second and they are off. I did just that, and a second was all he needed to flip over and make a break for it! In no time (1.2 seconds flat) he was across the room and standing on the entertainment center. It was too cute. I hope this isn't too offensive...I just think he is funny! If nothing else in this picture you can see how tall and lean this little man really is.

Later, he was making his usual rounds around the house. He starts at the couch, goes all the way across makes his way around the rocking chair, across the table to the door, crawls to the chair then across the chair and entertainment center, then scales the fireplace front to the love seat then to the jumper. gets down and crawls down the hall to play, I was taking a video of his trek around the house. Because I had the camera (electronics, the baby's favorite toy) so he started coming for me and the camera. His newest thing is shaking his head and/or leaning his head to one side then the other. So I was finally able to get a picture of it. I know I am his mom, but he is really cute. I guess it just comes down to the fact that I am in love with my family! Until next time. I hope all is well with you!

Fun day at Manda's

We were at Manda's today and Ashton decided that he wanted to do sidewalk chalk. So we went out. PG just sat in the grass and talked loudly to the neighbors. Then he came and ate chalk...I mean colored with us! :o) Ransom was having too much fun sitting on the drawings and tasting the different colors too. They are 3 very cute boys!

Cute story...

I don't have a picture of the day to share but I do have a really cute story. PG was playing on the floor, when KJ got home from work, he opened the door and said hello. PG looked up at him and crawled as fast as he could over to Daddy and stood up using his (KJ) legs. He was sooo excited to see his daddy. He has never crawled to greet anyone before. It was very sweet. He would look over at me and get a HUGE grin on his face complete with his little tongue sticking out! :o) Hey, I thought it was cute, so I thought I would share! :o)

Oldest and youngest!

We got to hang out with Ethan and Margaret and Margaret's mother for a few days while they out here. PG always loves having more people to entertain him! :o) Don't we all! haha
This is kind of a cool picture because this is my parents oldest and current youngest grandchild. Ethan will always be the oldest but before long PG won't be the youngest anymore! :o) We spent the day shopping with Margaret and her mom for misc. stuff. It was very successful. (notice her really cute new purple shirt!) I mainly bought school supplies....hey when you can get 3-ring binders for $.99, it is soooo worth it! :o)
That is all I have for now, I just wanted to share the pics of my babies! (Ethan used to be one of my babies....he just got bigger somewhere along the line...) Later,
